Master Steve Spoth, Owner/Master Instructor:

Master Spoth has spent the past 18 years of his life studying the Martial Arts. He has been teaching men, women, and children of all ages over the last 15 years. He is currently a 6th Degree Black Belt. Some of Master Spoth’s accomplishments are:

• 1st Dan in Eight-Step Praying Mantis Kung Fu
• First certified instructor in Krav Maga in the Buffalo area through Krav Maga Worldwide
• First person to run the Northeast Regional Training Center for Krav Maga
• Certified in Haganah and a Black Belt under Mike Lee Kanarek
• Recently certified as a Level 1 Muay Thai instructor under Master Hung Tran.
• Currently training for his Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Chuck Anzalone

Master Spoth’s passion has always been teaching; in fact, he started teaching for his Kung Fu instructor back in 1993. From there, he opened his first school in 1996, teaching part-time while working full-time as a plumber. In 1999, Master Spoth decided to dedicate all his time to teaching the Martial Arts, and he has not looked back since. When Master Spoth became the director (?) for the Northeast Regional Training Center in 2002, he moved his school to the current 13,000-square-foot facility. He continues to provide the very best Martial Arts training available for men, women, and children.

The Training Edge has recently been recognized by Master Paul Garcia Head of America’s Best Defense schools in America, as a top martial arts school in the nation, and Master Spoth was awarded by being put into the Master Counsel for the ABD Schools around the country.

Master Spoths new passion is to dedicate himself to growing the Martial Arts both in and out of his community. He now does seminars at schools around the country to help them to grow their school by improving their curriculum and their business systems. Master Spoth realizes that if he can help more Martial Arts schools to impact their community by spreading the lifestyle of the Martial Arts then together we can change the lives of both kids and adults.
